Natural Hair: Updated Wash Routine

Hey Curlies,
After washing and conditioning
My wash routine has updated a little over the past few years. I've tried different things to discover what truly is easiest for me and what works best for my hair. In a previous post, many years ago, I spoke about washing my hair in sections, however that wasn't the best for me.

I don't want you all to get this post confused with my hair regimen/wash day routine which involves styling as well. This is simply the "wash" section.

Updates:

I now wash my hair in the shower 98 percent of the time, which is actually better for you hair (find out why here) and I do not wash in sections. I will usually do a light detangle with conditioner before I hop in the shower and proceed to wash my hair in its loose state.

I found that washing in sections is too much work and it takes longer to achieve similar results. Washing in sections may work for many people, but I'm not one of them lol.
Deep conditioning
After washing and rinsing out the conditioner, I secure my hair in a bun either at the top of my head or into a low bun then wrap my hair in a towel or t-shirt to dry for 30 minutes. Then I proceed to style.

I hope that makes sense! For my full regimen and more tips on washing, click here.
