To be quite honest, I don't have many friends who blog or create their own content - which means there is no one to vent to, cheer to or bounce ideas off of (except a few friends and family - and sometimes they still don't understand what I really do lol).
Earlier this week I attended BlogHer in Orlando and had an amazing time learning new skills and meeting tons and tons of women who are boss content creators.
I landed in Orlando Thursday but could not leave the Midwest and visit Florida without going to the beach. So what did I do? Rent a car and drove two hours (round trip) to Daytona Beach - and I'm so glad I did.
I don't know what it is, but I've always had a connection with water and I love the beach. From there I checked in at the conference at had a ball!
It was so amazing to see how creative everyone is with their blogs, businesses, YouTube channels and everything else in between. Special guests and keynote speakers included: Serena Williams, Carla Hall, Janet Mock and others.
Don't worry, I'll have a separate post on my hairstyle and such coming next.
