Eighth-Grader Sent To Principal’s Office For Her Natural Hair Being 'Too Poofy'

Hey Curlies,

This is crazy, right? This is just one of the dozen cases where I've seen children being harassed because of their hair style. What happened?

A principal at a school in Toronto, Canada brought an eighth grader to tears after she was told her hair was "too poofy" and "unprofessional."

The even more sad part about it is, the student's hair is absolutely beautiful and if they have the nerve to say that to a child, what do people say to other adults in the workplace who may wear their natural hair?
