Natural Hair Style: Wash n Go and Defining 4a Curls

Hey Curlies,

While at work last week, I was talking with my boss and got an idea to try this "wash n go" affair. I've always wanted to try this style but my hair tangles so easy and the weather is becoming cooler. Basically I've always made an excuse lol. I decided to suck it up and go with it.

Before this idea, my hair looked like this...

Here are the products I used(in order):

                Freshly washed hair
              No product

I used all of those products in that order. I purchased the custard almost a year ago but I haven't used it as much. I've read reviews about how the product causes crunchy hair when it dries. To fix this problem I applied a generous amount of coconut oil to each section before applying the custard to my hair.

With my hair already in halfs I began at the back of my head and worked in medium sections to rake and smooth the product on my hair. Most of the time the product gave me the results I wanted but every now and then I used my Deman brush to work the product through.

At the end of it all, I used a good amount of product. Here were the results with wet hair:

Once my hair dried(a million hours later lol) here is what I was left with the next day. My hair has CRAZY shrinkage so I knew it was coming and I prepared lol.

I was more than okay rocking a short style! The next day I styled it a bit differently...
Today here is what I'm working with. I ended up pulling it up into a puff.

To preserve my style from beginning to end I put a scarf around my edges and a bonnet to the rest. In the morning I sprayed with water and aloe vera juice then fluffed.
