When did you BC or when do you plan on Bcing?

I did not do a “Big Chop” but transition out from a perm over 10+ years ago and I have not looked back.

A short regimen you can share?

I rinse my hair with warm water before shampooing to loosen any dirt and debris. Then I shampoo/condition with my products, Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo and Shea Butter Conditioner by Dominique’s. Next while my hair is still damp, I spray a little of my Hydrating Hair Mist with Aloe and Geranium.  This helps maintain moisture, softens and adds sheen. Next Hairdress (optional) I would massage about a “pea” size of Hair Replenisher or Hair Butter by Dominique’s into my scalp to the ends of the hair, then style as usual. If your hair and scalp is very dry then the Hair Replenisher would be my recommendation.

Do you have any advice on going Natural?

Regardless, if you transition out from a perm or do a “Big Chop,” it is very important to be patient and use natural products that can hydrate and moisturize your scalp and hair. In many cases when your hair has been chemically treated, it would need gentle care to be restored back to its “natural state.” Therefore, choose

products which are dedicated to hair health. In my opinion, please stay away from products that have silicone, alcohol, mineral oil, sulfates, parabens and any other chemical drying agents.  Also, massage your scalp on a regular basis, which can help increase scalp circulation and redistribute the natural oils in your hair too.

How long has your company been along? What made you start your own business? 

I have been in business for 15+ years.  I believe I was led by God to step out on faith to start my own business.  I've worked in Corporate America in the marketing field for many years building successful multi-million dollar territories.  I remember feeling successful on one hand and unsatisfied on the other hand.  So I began praying to God to use me to a higher level.  After waiting for God's directive, He led me out of the corporate world to do Massage Therapy.  Massage Therapy has been a major platform to help people feel better on all levels.  Also, five years ago, this career has allowed me to expand my aromatherapy hair and body care line with many opportunities to speak publicly about the importance of good health and wellness.

What makes your products differ from others?

I have been a successful Massage Therapist for many years and I understand the affects of stress on the scalp, hair and skin.  Also, I have incorporated recipes from my mom, a former Cosmetologist, who I helped make a hair dress for people who had scalp conditions (hair loss, hair shedding etc) when I was a child. Therefore, I coupled all my knowledge to make the finest aromatic and healthy products from nature to help soften, moisturize and protect your hair and skin.
