Natural Hair: Mini Twist Prep

Hey Curlies,

You all know that I love wearing twists...

Well I've decided to create some smaller ones and try some mini twists. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I just didn't have the time. Now that I am on break from school, this is the perfect time to consume myself with twisting -yay! :(

Anyway, I have already washed, conditioned and deep conditioned my hair. I used UR Curly Shampoo and Conditioner along with Shea Moisture's Anti-Breakage Masque for a DC.I twisted my hair in medium sized sections to let it dry overnight. Here it is 9:30 at night, and I still haven't touched my head lol.

In the past, I've seen people do their mini twist on blown out hair. Well guess who forgot her blow dryer in Indiana? -_- In place of the blowout will be bantu knots. I found that bantu knots really stretch out my hair and gives it volume. Tonight I will create my bantu knots that will look similar to this..

Tomorrow morning I will begin to start the twisting process. Hopeful I can at least get half way through. Since it's literally been 2 blizzards since I've been in Ohio (only a week), and 20 degrees, this will be a great protective style for a couple of weeks.

Check back tomorrow for mini twist updates and a end of the year 2012 length check.
