This is the twist out from my previous style. I actually still have this style in right now working on day two hair!
Anywho! In order for hair to receive proper treatment using a moisturizer, there is a two step process that every natural should know, how to Moisturize and Seal.
- First begin with either dry or damp hair. I usually do this process every day and very thoroughly on wash days. Start off with your favorite leave in conditioner (if your hair is wet, I use Garnier Fructis) or your favorite cream moisturizer (I use Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie). Rub about a quarter size amount into your hands and apply to hair.
- Next, for either wet or dry hair, apply an oil to your hair to coat the cream moisturizer( I use Olive Oil). This seals in the moisture to keep hair constantly moisturized.
You repeat this process depending on how often your hair becomes dry. I repeat this process almost daily simply because the cold weather is kicking in! Hope this is helpful.
What products do you use for this process?? Share!

ReplyDeleteHi there - don't remember where i got this link for this site too but i think it was from your FAB twist out.
ReplyDeleteFor moisturizing my hair.. my most lethal combination on my hair is KCKT and Castor oil! My hair really likes it...
14n1 and grapeseed oil....they are both light. But it works for me.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I use Red Fox Tub of Butter with Olive Oil every few days to moisturize my 4B hair. I dont usually seal with any oil. It did nothing for my dry skin, but my hair loves it!
ReplyDeleteI always say do what works for you :)
