Hey Curlies,
So a coworker and I were talking about hair and I told her I have a blog about natural hair and she looked "surprised." She asked exactly what it was about and I told her it was all about the "transition"...she said "what transition"? So once I started explaining things to her it seemed like she understood a little more and this showed me some people are very ignorant when it comes to this topic!
**Fast Forward to later that day**
An African woman walks in with a huge puff and I was say, "wow, she has so much hair".. I honestly LOVED the way it looked. The first thing my coworker said was..." its fake." I didn't understand why she would make this assumption so I asked why. She said simply because the ends of her fro were kind of "curly." This is where I sort of got defensive..lol (didn't mean too) I said "Have you never seen a natural with curly hair? That's what being natural is,curly hair." Anyway, lol I just thought I would share this, I found it so silly that she would say that.
